WHAT IS IP RATING?
IP stands for Ingress Protection. Published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) it is also read as International Protection.The first number in the IP rating represents the level of dust protection, and the second number represents the level of water protection. Combined these tell you how well protected your product is.
From 00 with absolutely no protection, to P68 which provides maximum water and dust protection
